Executive Chef Keira Moritz

That Executive Chef Keira Moritz returned to her Southern roots to lead the Pacci kitchen is a pleasant surprise. Prior to her homecoming, the Georgia native's reputation for creating delectable contemporary Italian dishes based on Old World originals had her traveling coast to coast. She is indeed a much sought after chef.

At her last post, she was executive chef for Puccini & Pinetti, one of San Francisco's favorite Italian restaurants. During her two years there, she made extensive changes to the menu while dreaming up new Italian dishes to share with guests. Diners were quick to mention the bright flavors that resulted from Chef Keira's practice of using fresh, local ingredients in the crafting of her special plates.

Before her move to the City by The Bay, she worked alongside Chef Elise Wiggins at Panzano in Denver, which is where her admiration for - and flair with - Italian fare blossomed. During her tenure as executive sous chef, the restaurant received the 2005 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence and was named one of Rocky Mountain News' top five restaurants.

At Pacci, Chef Keira's inventive nature has helped evolve a wonderful lively spirit among Pacci staff. All are appreciative of the favorable reviews guests laud upon the dishes they're served.

Along with her border collie Magnolia, the Johnson and Wales graduate (Charleston, South Carolina) calls Midtown Atlanta home. Her free time is spent running marathons, kayaking and tending her herb and
tomato gardens.
